This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to use telematics and technology data effectively.

It includes identifying and preparing information technology systems and devices, accessing and operating the equipment and systems, analysing data and information, identifying and rectifying system and processing errors, managing and securing data and shutting the system down.

Work is performed under minimal supervision.

No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

Assessment Tasks

Copy and paste from the following data to produce each assessment task. Write these in plain English and spell out how, when and where the task is to be carried out, under what conditions, and what resources are needed. Include guidelines about how well the candidate has to perform a task for it to be judged satisfactory.

Range is restricted to essential operating conditions and any other variables essential to the work environment.

Routine faults in operating systems, software applications and operator errors are identified and rectification is arranged in accordance with manufacturer instructions and workplace procedures 
 
 
Data security is followed in accordance with workplace procedures and regulatory compliance
